I have a Deutz tractor that is a D4006 and is a 3 cylinder. My old fuel injection pump went out. I have a new one I just put on. The guestion is the old pump had a seal at the shaft to keep the oil in, I'm guessing. The new one does not, so is the oil in the motor going to run in around the shaft and oil the pump? Also the other end of the pump had a plug at the end and a big hole at the top to add oil and to drain the access oil and fuel. The new one has the big hole at the top but does not have the drain hole at the bottom. I would appreciate any help. Do I need to add oil? Thanks

The new injection pumps I have used for the deutz have all changed to recieving there oil from the engine versus the self oil systems.

'We sold a Turbo in 2 weeks to a guy in Houston! We also sold the first engine we listed - an old Hatz. It took 2 months to sell but that was OK as we couldn't move it locally.
