When it quit the amp meter dropped right off and the engine stopped immedietly. It has blown the fuse for the glow plug controller and fuel line heater. Where abouts are these located and what could cause the fuse to blow?

The fuel bowl is in the center of the engine towards the front. Pull the cap off the fuel bowl and look down inside. Your fuel heater probably shorted out and blew the fuse. You can unplug it from the outside of the fuel bowl if you don't want to buy a new heater. Also, look around the fuel bowl really good for shorted wires.
