I have a marinised Fordson E1A Major 4D diesel engine in my boat. At least, I'm 90% sure it's a Fordson Major but it's hard to be certain as there don't appear to be any definitive pictures of the engine on the internet (although there are hundreds of pictures of the tractors surrounding it!) - and I've spent several days looking. I've identified it by the injector pump, which is a Simms spe 4a75s 497. I'm slightly concerned that there doesn't appear to be a fuel return line running from the vicinity of the injectors back to the fuel tank. Of the many available possibilities, where is the best place on the engine to take the fuel return from?

Thanks

Paul

No worries , check out Mermaid engines in England (.com) - all marinised fords and your return when it comes out of head should go back to your fuel filter Regards David

'Listed a Perkins T6.354 on DieselEngineTrader and sold it after 5 month. With a listing fee of $5.00 per month and no commission, it was much cheaper and more effective than the magazine we also used.'
