Anyone have any ideas on this Click HERE for Pictures. It's JD engine from a 200kW generator. We noticed it starting to smoke a few weeks ago at both no load and at full load. It looks like it might be an injection timing problem. Any ideas?

Injectors look like the pattern is good. I think your turbo is going out. Not spinning fast enough to get clean air.. Seen this many times.

It's hard to get a timing issue on this type of fuel system. I would guess a hung open injector, did you do a compression test before tear down? A hung open injector will cause low compression.
