Need to know the difference between the early series 300 heads and the later RCP type heads. Is it just the way injectors are clamped or there are other differences as well?
Is it possible to interchange later style "RCP" heads on earlier 300 series engines?
Finally, what does RCP stand for?

Many thanks for the scoop

As long as you are pre Power tech and not trying to mix a 4239 with a 4039 your ok. The early 300 series had valves seals on the intake, later ones were on both. There was a bulletin to cut the head to accept the new PC type of seals. When installing the new injectors always use the new top seal or spacer RED one. Better starting. hope this helps. I have never heard myself the term RCP.
