I have recently stripped a D 850, i have found the pistons rings on all 3 cylinders are all broken and the grooves are about twice the size they are supposed to be. I priced replacement parts for the unit and was flabergasted on amount Kubota charge for parts.
Does anybody know of cheap parts for Kubota engines.

Did you have any luck? I guess you are in the US. I know an engineering company in Brisbane Australia which imports and services Kubota engines. They would be OK for small parts such as rings etc.
