This might seem like a stupid question but I need to know where or even if there's a zinc anode on my 4.108. The previous owner couldn't find one and the FOUR manuals I have are
useless. I have some hand written maintinence instructions that claim the heat exchanger holds the zinc but due to the fact that none of the illustrations are very clear, bad photocopies of
some pages and web searches that show different designs of the 4.108 I'm not even sure where the heat exchanger is. I'd appreciate any help.

I have the same question, I asked Bowman and they didn't answer. I searched the heat exchanger with it off and the only plug is a winter drain. Since the system is 25 years old withno damage except between hoses and connect points, I assume it doesn't need Zincs. Note that there is no electrical connection between the dissimilar metals, so galvanic action can't work.

I just asked another question concerning the Zink for a 4-108. My heat exchange, which is located aft of the motor, is the only place I can find that
where a ZInk can be placed. Look on the webb for a photo on this site for a picture of a heat exchanger http://www.sailnet.com/forums/ or it might be on this site I cna't remember
which one I saw it. http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/index.php.
