Ahoy.

I currently have a perkins 4-108 in my 41 foot Fermosa, we live aboard and she weighs 40000lbs in the slings. Engine yr is 1977 and is coupled up to a 2:1 velvet drive.
I never run her more than about 1800-1900 rpm.
My question is , can I opperate this engine at higher rpms, and if so how high without hurting her. If I read the manual right, it claims I can run her up to 3600rpm. This seems very high to me??

'We've sold a number of engines via DieselEngineTrader.com - even some that we've had lying around for a few years! It's very useful in getting our inventory seen by a much larger market.'

Jackie Read, A J Diesels Ltd, Southampton, UK

'Listed a few engines to see the response and we're getting calls every other day!'

Richard Bemsee, Live Oak Diesel, Florida, USA

'Listed a Perkins T6.354 on DieselEngineTrader and sold it after 5 month. With a listing fee of $5.00 per month and no commission, it was much cheaper and more effective than the magazine we also used.'

Chris Weeks, Old Forge Lake Cruises, New York, USA
