We are looking to get set up with computer diagnostics for DDEC 1 & 2 as well as N14 Cummins, what do you recommend?

Depending on what you want to do - Prolink is a cheap way to do I and II but if you want to do early N 14 you can get a cartridge to do basic diagnostics on prolink or if you want more you,ll have to buy a laptop with an inline adaptor/ usb link , hook up cables and two programs - DDDL and Insite Regards David

My suggestion is to look on ebay. I found a labtop with usb link and any software you can buy right now all loaded in it for less then what you can buy any prolink for. Prolink is alright but you have to be pretty handy to use it because things such as your speed governer go by percents so you usually have to fool around a bit to get it right. where as the laptop is self explanatory and any one can use it.

Scott, If you go on ebay and type in nexiq it will pull up all the nexiq software. In this listing there is a toughbook computer with all the software in it. It is only $750 and you have to get the usb link which there is one right by it for $700. It is still cheaper to buy both of these then a prolink. With a prolink you can usually only do one application per card that you buy and the cards are about $400 a piece. Hopefully you get this quick because the sale ends in 10hrs. but I'm sure there will be another one on there.
