do i need to put a certain type of diesel for the winter, so it dosn't freeze.

Don't know where you'll be driving but unless you're expecting to be in -40 degree weather you should be okay. You might consider a fuel additive to increase the cetain level of the fuel for easier cold weather starting. Check with your fuel supplier to see if they add anything to the fuel in the winter.
