I have a 1997 Ford Aeromax build date 5-96 motor serial # 9CK31765 I brought the truck in the shop to weld on A goose neck hitch and paint and now will not start I hooked up my prolink and it says no mods found I have power on pins 4&6 at ecm and ground on pin 5 I have no warning lights on dash Any help would be nice

Uggggg......bet you didn't remove the battery cables before welding on the frame.........

Several years ago one of my guys was welding on old lug nuts to remove several broken wheel studs without removing the battery cables on a 1998 8100 with the 3176 and smoked the ECM.....I have heard of many other cases of the same.

1st thing you do when welding on a truck is disconnect batteries.....ecm gets fried about 75% of the time if you dont.

I don't know of any for a 3176.....they aren't that common. Those were mostly fleet engines.....I think Ryder had some and Penske did too.
