A freind of mine just bought a 2000 IH with a N14 in it and the cruise does not work. So far he has checked the breakers, made sure the dash switch was plugged in and the switch on the clutch pedal must be OK because it shuts the engine brake off with a touch of the pedal.

Where does he go from here?

Check your brake switch for operation , vss pick up on transmission ( two loom plugs - one for speedo and one for ecm )- pulse wheel on out put shaft for security ( not slipping ) Regards David
