Started off with no power and loud missing sound with smoke giving error codes 128s052 and 128s051 ..mechanic replaced all 6 injectors after running injector tests. 2 days later same problem occured with same fault does and this time around mechanic said short was on jake brakes and was causing the truck to loose power and loud rough nose...insulated and disconnected the brake wires so the truck has no jake brakes with the 2 brake faults showing and check engine light on.
After 7 days running with the wires unhooked ..new codes as follows came up ENG Short Hi 128s239 03 came and disappeared after a few days and now the ones that came and finally stalled the truck were ENG PositionSensor Low and High 128s021 01 and 0 ..Replaced both cam and crank sensors and truck run for only 7 miles and started shaking and stalled with the position sensor fault code showing. on the dash...towed the truck to the shop since it wouldn't stay running
Today, the truck idled for 2 hours at the mechanic shop and there were no position sensor codes and could not replicate the problem that stalled the truck but only the 2 brake codes were showing. tested the truck with a different ECM and the same codes were present.
Could these short on the brakes be causing the engine to shut off unexpected even though the wires are disconnected at the injector heads ? please advise ??? and where to look for the short

The wiring for the jakes come with the injector wiring harness, since you have all this time in this and have not checked the wiring, just replace the wiring harnessand be done with that problem. Jake WIRING [note caps] will not shutdown the engine. However a poor setup or mechanical problem with the jakes can cause sticking jakes and obviously possible to cause the engine to run with a misssfire and in some cases cause the engine to just shutdown because of it. Has anyone checked the bull gear for your running problem? How many miles on this engine. Did anyone check the ohm reading before replacing all those sensors? How about useing an ohm meter on those jake wires? Lets check items before throwing parts at it.

Thanks GoneFishen,
The only time the mechanic told me about using the meter was before he disconnected the wires saying that he was getting 12V on one of them and 4.5V(approx) on the other two wires, so he said that there was a short on that one wire and at that time said that it will take a long time(labor hours) to find the short so he just disconnected them and said that they shouldn't be a problem only that I wouldn't have jakes. yesterday is when he measured on the engine harness going to the ecm the 2 wires(red and orange i believe the book said 561 and 562 if am not wrong) for resistance and they didnt have any reading at all.. other than that there is nothing else that has been tested ..not the bull gear and the engine has 865,000 miles on it . please advise best strategy ..thanks
