hi,i put a pdi ecm on my 95 kw 60 seris in pa,first part of trip was good ,then it started cuting out around 1650 rpms thought it was bad fuel, changed 8 filters to mt drained tanks, replaced fuel lines, and still cut out every so often.reloded in wa, in nd stoped at a detroit, replaced line in back of head and check valve, fuel pressure was good, then had ecm checked my injecters were at 45 they set them to 75 and he also removed round flat soild washer out from under bolt in fuel pump, truck ran great from nd to pa back to wa and then it started acting up agin!can not get ecm to throw any codes!replaced the throttle deal on foot peddle, and still the same. thanks, ron

did you put pdi ecm in or some one else? do you have the 11.1 det or the 12.7 ? a bad check valve that is right near the back of the head would not cause your sypmtoms. A back check valve would onlt cause hard strting after truck sat for a while allowing fuel to drain back into tanks.

it s a 12.7,i put pdi box on,also put a 14 liter mtu 825 hp cam in couple months ago, check valve had fuel leakage, tonight i pulled return line of under truck ,ran truck put line in 10 gallon bucket at high rpm lots of air bubbles? was told its injecter seals by detroit, i just cant rap my brain around it. if it was a seal wouldn"t it put fuel in oil?

If you have alot of air bubbles it is most likly injector seals or a loose injector holdown bolt. If you have a loose bolt it could cause intermittent problems like you are having.
By the way how is the cam working for ya?

I have hard drivers who delt with p.d.i. had a hard time getting issues resolved lately. except when dealing with MR. haney. some folks who did work on e.c.m's there no longer work there, erich at serrious60 i.m.o. would of been a better bet. but what do I know.

No personal experience with PDI but hear this alot...

I got this from another forum, from folks who have used p.d.i. a lot. hope you get your problem resolved.

Oil Temp looks good too .mine runs 190-200 and on a hard pull maby 225-230 comes back down after I let off throttle. I have a prolink connected and check temps to my gages Water Temp on prolink says up to about 225 on a hard pull I back off and keep pyro temps down water temp comes back to 182 or so after I get off the throttle. Boost presuure 33-45lbs depending on the pull and load I have.

Hey Dragonflyt600, Is the cam number the same as mentioned in one of your previous post? And did you find the proper injector height? Thanks for any info!

hows it going out there,Well i finally got my pdi computer working right!had to go to utah and after 4 differnt flashes they got it,my opinion is, its way to much bullshit for the $$.(live and learn).the guy who had the cam questions i did not notice much of a fuel increase, but did notice the way she pulled the horse went from 390-446 on ground stock, also inlector heights must be set at marine motor heght and also get marine cam gear if not she will have a slight miss at hi rpms, feel free to call me 406-260-5711 and i will give u a heads up what i have found, im not trying to be smart but if u do this the cruse controls days are gone! no more flat out in a head wind or she wont last long,i would like to thank the guy who told me about the borg warner turbo she spolls 45 psi in a heart beat, with 674 on the trail!does any body know who makes a intake like pdi? my next step is to put bigger valves in head and do a little porting on exhaust.my fuel milage went from 5.2-6 i pull 54ft spread refer 355 rears 15 over on low pro24.5 eastcoast to northwest always run about 5mph over. guess i could slide my refer into my bunk, take some tin roofing put it on the sides of my trailer, and drive 62mph probly would get well ,F that! STAND ON IT!!!!!
