In doing an inframe on a 14L the #6 liner came up 1/2 inch and stopped. Won't come out, won't go back in. Usual liner puller worked great on other 5. Have made a heavy bar with plate and studs to go in rod bolt holes and pushed the rod up to the liner and used a 20ton jack and that will not budge it. Jack was on a steel plate with chain and strap wrapped up and over the engine so was literally pushing on the rod and liner, not just raising the truck up on the springs. Still no luck. Any suggestions??

Some of the old timers would weld some verticle beads in the liner to shrink it.

Thanks, I'll try it since I am fresh out of any other ideas at this point.

Caught on the liner seals , make a bridging plate for the top of block and load the liner and wait then load it again and continue until it breaks through the liner seal Regards David
