First Thing I don't know the proper words for this new generation of truck engines. When I drove in late 70's and through the 80's we didn't have these ECM's. My question is, I have recently purchased a 1990 White/Volvo/ GMC with a Series 60 Detroit engine and it will shut off after the engine runs for 4 minutes while parked and is set at 1850 rpm max. My question is, can I have this ECM programmed for 2100 rpm's and increase the torque and H.P. to 430HP or do I have to buy a 430hp ECM. Maybe the wording is good enough someone will understand what I am trying to do. Any help would be appreciated.

You can get it reprogrammed without changing the ECM. The 4 minute shut down is just a setting in the ECM that you can get turned off or, usually, you can just bump the cruise up a little and it won't shut down

'Although there are other sites on the internet, DieselEngineTrader.com shows the equipment details very well, is maintained in a professional way and has helped us to sell engines. Keep up the good work!'

Peter van Lelieveld, DELTA TRADING BV Holland

'The engine was on other sites, but we received the most calls from DieselEngineTrader.com. We sold it to the first caller-from DieselEngineTrader.com. Also, there was a waiting list on the engine if the first sale fell through! Thanks for the great service!'
