I re sealed the front and rear of the gear case and did a new diamond seal and perimeter seal on the trust plate. But there's still a small leak between the head and thrust plate. Seams like there's pressure behind the leak. Does the diamond seal hold pressure? I also put a new o-ring on the #1 cam cap along with rtv on the corners but I wasn't super sure on the placing of it. I wondering if tightening the two thrust plate bolts up a little more might help.

Did you seal the cam cap on the bottom?

I just put a little on the corners next to the thrust plate. Are you supposed to do the whole bottom of the cap?

Should go around the corner some to where the valve cover meets it. It fills in the gap that's there is no seal. I had a head gasket that leaked a few months ago that came out in front of the head but you could tell it wasn't up high..

Yeah that's what I did. No its above head gasket for sure. But does the diamond seal hold any pressure?

No. Several years back I had a front cover that was cracked and I missed it the first time at sealing it up and it ran like pressure. Did you change the outer o-ring too? Not sure how you would unless head was off or front off.
