Now that we have the fan problem solved; maybe you can help with the truck not starting in the morning. After the truck sits for more than 4 hours, it will not start on it's own. Must pop it off with one shot of ether........will run fine all day...........but after it sits for 4 hours it will never start on its own. Any ideas?
Do you have any idea as to why this truck does not have a hand pump (primer pump)? Should I invest in one?

This is what I would do. Add a hand priming pimp at the fuel filter base. This alone may solve the problem as it adds a check valve in the system. Which aids in preventing fuel drain back. If this does not fix it I would pull out the fuel pressure regulator in the bottom of the fuel filter base and inspect it very carefully. Shine a light in the holes in the sides and look for light passing through. If it does replace it. If it is still not fixed. RUn engine and let sit. Crank engine if it does not start raise hood and pump the hand pump you added earlier. If it is solid or hard to push your fuel system is holding fuel and not draining back. If it is spongy or goes up and down easily as if it is pumping air your fuel is draing back to the tanks. It gets more complicated from here. So try the first two items and see what happens
