I have a 2000 3126B no start. I do not have scan tool to look at any live data while cranking so I don't know desired or actual ICP pressure. Can I remove supply line to head and install a gauge in the pump? What psi should i see . Can i remove the IPR valve and plug it to by pass and check max pressure from pump . Thank you for any help

First check for fuel flow, fuel filters....maybe give it a shot of ether....if it has a primer, pump it up and check for air....another thing would be to disconnect high pressure oil pressure sensor. It may crank more than normal before starting....try those things first.

Thank you for responding, I should have mention that I have good fuel pressure . I have installed a mechanical oil pressure gauge in high pressure rail in cylinder head , and only have 800 psi . Im not shure how to go about checking high pressure pump . I don't think that is enough to start engine. Thanks again for your help.

Hello, I was using a 5000 psi gauge to check injector oil pressure in cylinder , changed out gauge to 1000 psi and retested. After retesting I have 30 psi from the pump in the crank case and around 200 psi at rail. removed supply line from pump to rail and installed gauge in out let from pump, only have 200 psi here . what should I see ? Thanks again for your help!!!!

Hey, Joe Z I would like to thank you for help in the past,I finally figured out what was wrong . After replacing HUI pump and still not having enough oil pressure to start engine , I decided I better do some voltage and ground checks . I had no voltage at Injector Pressure Regulator Valve when cranking , to make long story short I swapped ECM and the truck runs great. We had a used ECM off of unit that we junked installed on truck 2 weeks ago no problems Thanks again for your help.
