I have a detroit in my blaw-knox paver which has set for over a year now.I went to crank it and it runs for about 5 seconds then quits.Anyone got any ideas where to start to look?

Have you pressure tested the fuel system? Try capping off your return line and pumping it up and see if it holds. If it does, try priming the system( i use a small hand pump that i attach to the fuel pump) pump some fuel to it and see what happens. also, check your pickup tubes in the fuel tank, seen those fall off before and create the same issue
