hi i am new here and would appericate any help i can get.
my problem is i have a 6.5 td that is hard to start if it is not pluged in.
it is only getting down to about 45 to 50 deg at night so i don't think that is the problem.
it takes about 30 min to get it started if i do not plug it in but states right up if it is pluged in.
any help will be appericated.

Have you checked the glow plugs to see what condition they are in and if they are working?? After the plugs themselves check the glow plug controller.

no i have not checked them out. i did not think about the glow plugs because i changed them about 10 months ago.
