I may have one or more broken or cracked rings on right bank of engine. She’s blowing excessive smoke and a mist of oil from right side exhaust. Need to know if I am causing any serious damage by running it this way. The budget is very thin, and can’t afford repair. It’s an antique fire truck, so it isn’t run on a regular basis. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Pull the side covers off and look for pieces of broken rings. If you find rings, take them out because sometimes the pieces can get blown on top of the piston and cause serious damage. Eventually you will have to fix it right.
