A lot of white smoke

Hello, I am hoping you can help me. I just purchased a 1993 Chevy 2500 6.5 TD w/167 k. When I started the truck at the dealership it had a short cloud of white smoke at start up that rapidly cleared. I drove the truck 2 &1/2 hours home with no problems. The truck sat for two days and at this start up the white smoke was terrible and it was stumbling until warmed up. Once warmed up truck runs fine.
I have checked and replaced the following:
No air bubbles in the radiator while running
No hard upper radiator hose at start up
No coolant loss
No coolant mixed with oil
White smoke does not smell sweet like coolant
Replaced Thermostat
Replaced air and fuel filters
Glow plug light comes on at start up and a couple of times after start up for a split second
I will be replacing the glow plugs
I do not have a diesel compression tester
Lift pump, pumping at 4 PSI
Temp gauge reads about 170 degrees with the new or the replaced old thermostat

I have been told that the problem could be any of the following:, air or fuel filter,glow plugs, injectors, injector pump, timing, head gaskets, cracked block, thermostat, radiator cap, fuel lines.
I am at a lost, do you have any suggestions to at least narrow down the probabilities.

i would go ahead and replace glow plugs and injectors.. Glow plugs for the light flashing after the start and injectors for the excessive smoke!
