Hi, my name's Vittorio Scagliarini. I'm writing from Italy !
My new car is a KIA CARENS (Corea) 2.0 CRDI with automatic drive.
This car, for The European markets, is equipped with a HYUNDAI 2000cc DIESEL - 16 valve - Turbo Intercooler Engine (112 hp).
My problem is that this Engine is a big drinker !
Kia sais that all is normal and don't help me... (Further car is not a Kia !)
I work in electronic, and I have decided to manipulate the injection system (BOSCH common rail).

I have reduced the output of the "debimeter" (flow air sensor), The system have reduced the engine power and the consumption is reduced...

I Can false now the outputs of
- NTC fuel temperature
- NTC air temperature (inside debimeter)

I have read that DIESEL FUEL DENSITY is very variable at the change of temperature...
... I think if Fuel is COLD it's more COMPACT, than the common rail system need to reduce the injection in order to obtain the requested power...
---> Someone of You can confirm ?

---> Someone of You know what is the response of the main unit at the change of FUEL TEMPERATURE ?
---> Someone of You know what is the response of the main unit at the change of AIR TEMPERATURE ?

Thank You for Your Opinion/Help

Ciao
Vittorio
