I have a cat 3126 serial number: CKM24420 in a 2002 kenworth t300, when cold the thing fires right up no issues. Once the truck is up to temperature if it gets shut down it will not start again without the help of starting fluid. Once up to temperature the truck has a lack of power also. I pulled the IAP control valve and it did not have crud in it. I replaced it with a new one because I already had the part. Im just looking for pointers before I go ahead and blame the heui pump. Without cat software i understand this is a shot in the dark. Any help is appreciated in a step forward I can take. I will also add that this motor is a fresh rebuild as of a year ago. Thanks guys.

Run engine to the point where it is hot enough that it will not start. Pull valve cover and crank engine; Look for oil leaks around the base of an injector. May be difficult to see as oil will splash out of spill ports while cranking. Kind of spits everywhere. Most likely a top oring seal on an injector leaking. Causing a loss of HUIE pressure. Will start cold because oil is thicker.

Richard Bemsee, Live Oak Diesel, Florida, USA

'We've sold 7 engines in 4 months through DieselEngineTrader.com - one to Utah, three to South Dakota, one to New York, one to Kansas and one locally in Wisconsin! I also advertise in other publications but DieselEngineTrader.com gets the best results and at a great price too! I like the way that my engines are shown at the top of Google searches and DieselEngineTrader.com will definitely be playing a major part in my advertising from now on.'

Aaron Lewin, Wisconsin, USA

'We had a Mercedes engine in stock for over a year but were unable to sell it in Belgium - it was an unusual specification for generator use. Once we listed it on DieselEngineTrader.com, we sold it to a customer in England! We get regular enquiries from customers across the world.'
