Cat C-15 SDP engine will not regen while driving, inhibit switch is in the normal position. I drive 150 miles and DPF light comes on and check engine light flashing, it only has two codes one for coolant level sensor but coolant is full and of course the code for Diesel Particulate Filter #1 Soot Load Percent : High - Moderate Severity when regen is needed. My question is what would cause ARD not to ignite while driving? Possibly the ard itself? I can pull over and perform a stationary regen with the force switch and regen occurs then I have to repeat process again after 150 miles. Any Ideas anyone? Thanks

DPF differential psi is under 1.5 psi, Air system verification test is within spec, performed a Data Log while statiionary regen was performed and seen nothing out of ordinary. Still not sure what problem is, for some reason ARD will not ignite while driving to get temp up in DPF. Thanks

I,m assuming yours has the updated ARD on it -What dpf temperature have you got on start up and does ARD start to increase dpf temp at idle Regards David

Yes the ARD has been replaced 3 times sense 2010. DPF temp at start is around 125 on inlet and 115 on outlet, ARD inlet is 155, ARD outlet 150 and ARD flame temp was around 110 at start up. both the ARD inlet and outlet raise in temp pretty fast while flame temp rises slow upon start up. It's weird why stationary regen is sucessful though. I did notice that logged code 310-1 is a forced regen with switch which occurences change every time stationary regen is done, while code 310-0 hasn't logged sense 1st week in august which I'm assuming is a passive regen. Customer is getting impatient, I think truck will have to go on dyno to find cause? Thanks Westcoast.
