Any Documentation between fuel leak and dropped valve on #2 cylinder. Local boat mech changed fuel filters and pinched gasket on filter. After 2 hour run offshore @ 2200 rpm's, engine smoked and lost power. A quick check of the engine room revealed major diesel fuel leak on starboard engine. Back at the dock, removed turbo and found a small piece of valve in exhaust side. In talking with Covington, the fuel leak would cause the cylinder to overheat and burn valve. Engine has always run strong. Looking for backup info to get help on major repair. HELP?????

i dont know if a pinched gasket on a fuel filter would cause ur problem but as for the vlave, it might b cuz ur injector was out of adjustment to cause the valve to burn.
