I have a question, will the 6.2L GM diesel replace a small block engine. Heres what I mean, I want to replace a 350 chevy motor in a boat. I found a website that will sell me an GM 6.2L marine diesel. Will this engine bolt up to the existing transmission?

I believe the bellhousing pattern is the same. The block mounts are slightly different though. This might require fabricated mounts from youre local welder if youre make and model of boat was never offered with the 6.2.A trip to youre local chevy or G.M.C. pick up dealer and a short conversation with a knowledgeable and sympathetic parts man should give you all the information on bell and mount interchanges. When you plan you're swap dont forget to increase the fuel supply line size or you're 6.2 will starve. If this is for a pleasure craft be sure to get a turbo version or you probably wont be happy with the accelleration.Hope this helps

'The engine was on other sites, but we received the most calls from DieselEngineTrader.com. We sold it to the first caller-from DieselEngineTrader.com. Also, there was a waiting list on the engine if the first sale fell through! Thanks for the great service!'

Fran Trapp, South Carolina, USA

'I had a Cummins ISX600 sitting in my shop for 2 years and finally managed to sell it through DieselEngineTrader.com! Great service and I like the way that the Buyer was able to phone me directly.'
