I'm trying to install rings in my Case dozer with a 5.9l cummins engine.I can get the oil ring down but the 2nd ring will not go down.What gives?

Over sized ring?

Will the ring fit in the cylinder with out the piston? Should be a gap but with out the book I am not sure how much.

Did you bore or have it sleeved?

Ring gap should be .003 per inch of bore. Is the ring in the ring groove up side down?
