I have a 91 Ford F350 with a 7.3 diesel. On top of the number one injector between the fuel line and the top of the injector is a approx. 1 inch adapter that looks like an inverted top hat. It has a gray plastic shroud and has a threaded female end on the injector end and a threaded male end for the fuel line. It's purpose looks like it raises the injector fuel inlet up about a inch to marry up with the fuel line. I have to replace this item as it was cross threaded. I contacted my local Ford parts dealer who could not locate the item on the schmatic and was told by Ford that the part does not exist. I bought a new fuel line for the number one injector and it is the same as the old one so the fuel line has not been modified to replace this part. As the engine is a International I am hoping one of you folks can identify this part and mayby provide me with a retailer. Thanks to all who respond.

Ron

Hello, It's the adapter that the injection timing pulse adapter connects to. You can probably find one in a wrecking yard if the dealers can't help. They were used on all IDI engines, The vans used #4 cylinder, same part though. Kevin
