L 10 Cummins

I have recently placed a L 10 in an N6. The problem is it never stops hunting but of course it does not at full revs. Can the return line on the injector pump be causing this. I am operating the throttle off the governor rod, I was told to do that, is that right. I seem to have a plethora of pipes going everywhere but the L10 manual from cummins clearly shows l in and l out, then a diversion to cool the pump. This pump cam with another line coming from the from of the pump attached to the retuirn line. The book says over 6 lb pressure will restrict the fuel from returning and cause problems. Can anyone help please.

I have solved the problem. I read in the cummins book where if there was a fuel restriction of more than 6 psi things would go wrong. I enlarged the return line and bingo. It idles and revs perfectly. The hunting has stopped altogether.

I note there is a guy below who has an N14 doing something similar. Try that.
