I have a Case engine, posting here because I know Cats have the same issue. I did not see a Case page.
Anyhow the lower counter bores are pitted. I filed in with epoxy and looks pretty good. Has anybody ever used silicone on the lower liner O-rings for an additional sealer agent?

The epoxy should work just fine...I have done it many times...I have seen some extremely messy jobs using silicone...and they leaked anyway.
