i have a 1997 379 pete cummins n14, it started to not accelerate at time and the rpm would not go above 1500, it would also fluctuate. i checked for codes and had one that said possition sensor voltage low, so i replaced the harness and the potentiometer and cleared the codes same problem. fuel looks clean, fuel lines, battery conections checked and cleaned. any ideas?

Engine postion sensor is the one under the air compressor. Also a bad Vss sensor will limit the speed of the engine. That is the sensor on the rear of the trans.
