I just got a new generator with a air cooled 2 cyl. Lombardini diesel engine in it. 3600 rpm unit that I cant get to stop smoking to save my life. I've run it about an hour total trying to gat it to clear up to no avail. When you start it, it goes to 3600 straight away so normal break in proceduers are difficult to obtain. I havent run it under a good load yet, after reading some posts on a rebuilt Westerbeake on the form, I'm wondering if I screwed it up. Where do I go from here and can I recover? All help is appreciated.

put it to work under load for a few hrs. can,t do it any harm.you have to get these engs. to temp. and worked to break them in. Don
