I need to find a service manual for a perkins inline 6 cyl engine. I don't have the model number at this moment but here's the data I do know, it is a marine engine, turbo, 165 HP. It's in a 30 foot sportfishing boat (Californian). Where is the best place to find the manual, also I think the turbo may be going, The engine has lost some power, fuel consumption has gone up and there is some carbon forming on the enclosure in the area around the turbo itself. Also I tried to spin the cold side of the unit and it turns but not very easily, when the engine is at idle it does not spin but will spin up under a load. If the turbo needs to be replaced do I need to get the whole unit from a perkins distributor or are there any other sources for a new unit or having the one on now repaired? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

We are a Perkins Master Dealer as well as a turbo shop. Give us the number off of the fuel injection pump and we can narrow the engine number down for you. EX 3266f208.
The turbo can be rebuilt, however many times it is more economical to replace it with a rebuilt.
The turbo should have a tag on it with the numbers. Let us know if we can be af any help.
