Hi All,
I own a Bertram 35 convertible. I have twin Cummins V555Ms on there now. I searched the forum and found someone asked a similar question in 2003 and the answer was to check with the B and C series engines. I am not very technical and dont know much about engines. I wanted to know if anyone could guide me to which specific engines I should look at. We didnt want to change the transmission either so something that would fit on the stock tranny. I live in the Carribean and there are not many good mechnics around here. I wanted a "bullet proof" engine with low maintaince. Probably 250hp area. Let me know if anyone can help. Thanks!

I took one out of a front-end loader and put a "C" in its place. The owners got the motor out of a heavy equipment junk yard and bolted to the trany and made all the rest work. Still running today. A "C" has liners that can be replaced and a "B" is like a car block and needs bored If you have to work on it later.
