Anyone have problems with lack of heat?

Water pump, clutch-fan,thermostat replaced and OK.

Radiator hot on top, luke-warm bottom, no apparent scale/debris problems.

Heater core clean but runs cool, barely any heat.

Siuggestions?

Make sure that they sold you the correct thermostat. Check it against the old 'working' one. I have had to go to another source to get the correct thermostat. There are 2 styles for the 7.3 powerstroke, I am not real familiar with the 7.3 W/O turbo. The top hose should be 20* higher, in temperature than the lower hose. [general rule of thumb].

The radiator should be cold till the engine is up to operating temp. There should be no coolant circulation to the radiator until engine temp is reached.. Make sure the thermostat is not flowing coolant to the rad until the engine is up to temp. If it is not the thermostat or housing look for coolant hoses that may be routed wrong and circulating coolant back to the radiator.

first time out but maybe thermostat is in backwards, if the engine heat can't open the thermostat. and if it does, it only opens it slightly.

'We've sold 7 engines in 4 months through DieselEngineTrader.com - one to Utah, three to South Dakota, one to New York, one to Kansas and one locally in Wisconsin! I also advertise in other publications but DieselEngineTrader.com gets the best results and at a great price too! I like the way that my engines are shown at the top of Google searches and DieselEngineTrader.com will definitely be playing a major part in my advertising from now on.'

Aaron Lewin, Wisconsin, USA

'The engine was on other sites, but we received the most calls from DieselEngineTrader.com. We sold it to the first caller-from DieselEngineTrader.com. Also, there was a waiting list on the engine if the first sale fell through! Thanks for the great service!'

Fran Trapp, South Carolina, USA

'Over 50% of my sales come through DieselEngineTrader.com - I really like the site, it's the best website for advertising my inventory.'
