I have a C-15 in a 2004 378 Pete. The engine has spun a main bearing. I am going to buy a used engine and change them out . My problem is finding one that will fit. I would like to go with a 2WS or 6NZ if I can find a good one. Any advice would be appreciated.

That's a tough choice. I'm assuming you have a MBN (much bad news) Bridge Engine? We swapped one out for a low mile used BSX block on down with the MBN head a only to have a head gasket problem about 100,000 miles later due to low liner protrusion. Higher compression helped the gasket failure.
Had a KW with a C-15 2WS towed in the other day with a broken crank.....wiped out the block in the process. Many bearing problems with the C-15......Cat needs to bring back the 3406....

I hear you.... We have a 5EK with a broke crank also. Yes, the 2004 is a MBN. I have been on the phone talking to several people with engines for sale and I think I am going to part the truck out.disgusted
