Hello !

Ive got a problem: engine is Ford thames trader I guess around 1960's
6-cyl 6-liter 108 hp. Is the model 510E ?

Im whondering where I could find the real value of the compression pressure of cylinders ?

I know the manual says 16:1 but what is the real values in psi or bars ?

I measured my engine pressure crancing with starter motor and got readings of 260-280 psi or 18-20 bars

Get excessive black smoke and no power while under load...and almost everything else is already done..

Cheers, Mika

'Listed a Perkins T6.354 on DieselEngineTrader and sold it after 5 month. With a listing fee of $5.00 per month and no commission, it was much cheaper and more effective than the magazine we also used.'
