I have acquired an Atlas-Copco 105 CFM air compressor, with a F2L511 2 cyl. I know nothing about these engines but want to get the maintenance up to snuff. As this unit has about 2000 hrs showing on the hourmeter, I'll stick with a convential oil rather than a synthetic. A friend suggested Shell Rotella 10W-40 but he doesn't know anything about the Deutz either................

What weight oil should I use?

I know the Rotella is good oil and would be willing to use it, anyone have any better suggestions as to a good oil for this engine?

I plan on using this unit to run a sandblast pressure pot and gear to blast a log house, using GROUND UP CORNCOB MEDIA to remove a couple of coats of "deck stain" that the previous owner put on it (that flat finish paint like stuff that you get in cedar, redwood, ect colors) I want to properly seal the wood and this is the technique/procedure the professionals recommend. Now all I need is a line on a sandblast setup with a 60 gal or so tank, hoses, nozzle, etc.

Thanks for any help.
