Hello,
I have 2 v555 engine on my boat that are not operating at all. After numerous fixes and rebuilts and working with the engines over 10+ years. I finally decided to change them.
This is the setup I have now.

CUMMINS V555

Motor 1
Engine #: 20166921
So : c39872
HP230- 3300RPM
Transmission
Model: MG502
Spec #: 34798
Serial #: 702409

Motor 2
Engine #: 20166233
So no C39765
Transmission
Model: MG502
Spec #: 34798
Serial: 702546
Shaft Diameter : 1 3/8”

I would like to change both engines into more recent Cummins. If this is possible using the same transmission/shaft, that will make my life easier.
Any and all comments appreciated.

You would be looking at either a mechanical C series or a Isc 8.3 electronic equivelent ,HP range between 240 and 350 hp Regards David
