I have a '78 Ford 7000 with 55.4k real miles--great condition. I has a Ford V636 (Cat 3208) that I'm trying to find the value of. Can anyone help me?

If you are looking to find the value of the engine, I'm certain it is non-turbo which makes it not very valuable.

You are correct--it is not turboed. But it has low miles and runs great. So what is "not very valuable"? $500. or $5000.?

My guess would be under $1,000.00. I had a Cat reman in a early 80's beverage truck with a bad frame that we stripped. I think we finally got $800 for it.
Just keep in mind that even though it has low miles, the fact that it is 35 years old means it sat a lot. Seals and gaskets shrink and dry up.....internal parts sitting for long times rust....head gaskets over long periods will deteriate. Sulpfer from combustion in oil is like acid to bearings and bushings especially and will eat away at the soft bearing material and all internal parts as well. That's what happens to engines sitting for long periods with old oil in it.
