How in the hell do these stupid cone shaped washers get removed. I've hit them, heated them, spread them. This is the worst idea I have ever seen on a vehicle. Any ideas on how to get these things off so I can do my wheel seals??
Thanks in advance.

Usually you just hit the end of the axle with a sledge hammer and they all come loose.

Thanks, but I tried that as well, and 4 out of 8 will not budge. And the first 4 came off with no problems.

What if you put 2 nuts on a stud (like a jam nut) and remove the stud? I've never done it but it might be worth a shot

thanks for the ideas, i'd like to update that I'm going to have it done at the dealer. I tried the two bolt method ....everything, including torch heating and the tool made for cone washers, nothing worked.
