I wonder if u folks can help me diagnose my trucks problem.
86 ford diesel f-350 4x4 crew cab. it recently started to stall while coming to a stop,
irregular idle, runs great on the hiway but while maintaining a steady speed if i release the throttle, coast for just a second, and return throttle position to maintain or gain speed
there is a 1-2 second delay (hesitation) in resuming rpms.I've changed fuel and air filters
and also pulled a ring on some sort of contraption located on the firewall that i think is a water trap or seperator.I noticed some rusty or dirty liquid as i pulled the ring and repeated the procedure until i noticed clean fuel. Thanks in advance for taking some of your time to respond.
