i was talkin to a buddy he told me you can make a cold air intake out if PVC pipe and a filter anyone know how????

PVC pipe and heat are a nono. What happens is the clamp you use will eventually squeeze down after a few times checking the tightness. If you have the old 'orange' intake hose, you will need to upgrade to the new 'black' hose. After the black hose you can go to a steel 40* piece of pipe and use a cone filter in place of the 'air-box' from Ford.The cone filter is available from NAPA, or other parts houses. I don't have the part # now but after this air filter I have on now I am going to change mine to the 'cone' style filter setup.
