when i drive down the road and turn on cruise control the truck will start going faster. and will only stop until i either turn off cruise control or put my foot on the brake petal. it also when sitting idle and turn on cruise will do the same thing idle really high until i do the same thing turn it off or hit the brake petal. also when i turn cruise off it will start flashing code 55 which means clear from what my cat guy told me. its like when i turn the cruise switch on i keep hitting the set switch over and over telling the truck to go faster or idle higher. and that code will flash until i turn the cruise switch on and off a couple of times and i did have ecm checked and he said all looked good. Any ideas would help.

I would hook it up to a computer and look at the switch's. Maybe a wire grounded out or bad switch that's grounding out? Just guessing good luck.

sounds like the switch or circuit is bad. Its like switch is stuck in the up position. you could have someone hook up and go to view status, easiest. Pull dash and replace switch see if it fixes it, a little harder, Pull dash and use and ohm meter to verify operation of switch to see if switch is functioning as it should. Harder yet?

'We sold a Turbo in 2 weeks to a guy in Houston! We also sold the first engine we listed - an old Hatz. It took 2 months to sell but that was OK as we couldn't move it locally. We track visitors to our website and we get lots from DieselEngineTrader.com. Your website really works, it's a great service and we'll be using DieselEngineTrader.com for years to come!'

Brad Marcak, Powerpro Texas, USA

'Listed a Perkins T6.354 on DieselEngineTrader and sold it after 5 month. With a listing fee of $5.00 per month and no commission, it was much cheaper and more effective than the magazine we also used.'

Chris Weeks, Old Forge Lake Cruises, New York, USA

'In our first 2 months of advertising we sold 4 engines, 2 to Australia and 2 to Brazil. We deal in new and used engines and parts and advertising on DieselEngineTrader works very well for us - we get regular inquiries from all over the world.'
