ive got a perkins T6354 in a 29 ft boat i got for free. someone stole the injector pump but i got a rebuilt one from a friend. I have no idea where to look for timing marks. Are they on the flywheel or harmonic balancer? flywheel is pretty rusty. Someone told me to pull the rocker cover and when the first valve goes slack thats TDC, and i should just bolt it up. Another guy said ive got to have everything set just right or im wasting my time. not too sure how to set the advance also..... any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
