the turbo timer had stopped working on the motor.. Is there a relay, sensor, switch or something simple I can look for before going deeper into the system?

Sorry.. Engine shut down timer..normally cuts in after 1 min (without any throttle input) or so the stop engine light flashes till engine shuts down after 2 minutes of idle . At the moment the engine keeps running till the ignition key is turned off..

I have a whole heap of codes which I checked with the engine off.. Don't know if they are old codes or current as we took over the truck 1993 t600 with the 60 series 365 hp detroit in it..codes are 22,24,31,32,34,43,44,46,53,85.. I know some of the codes are not relevant to the fault but I hope this might help cheers

Guess it is a DD2 at that age. Not sure why the idle shut off would stop working. Its all in the computer. No relays or such that I know of. I don't have the book at home to look up codes might try googling the codes.

Check power harness at batteries and ecm , then turbo timer if fitted-your problem is in your battery box Regards David
