Hi everyone, I am new here and in need of help! I have a T6.354, The engine seems to run fine but we changed the exhaust manifold and the turbo rebuilt. When we removed the exhaust manifold there was oil in the exhaust ports. When we put the exhaust manifold and the rebuilt turbo back on, we are now getting oil coming out of the exhaust side of the turbo. Heavy oil dripping. I know it´s not a bad turbo seal, because we put our other turbo that is working from our other engine, and it is doing the same thing.

Scratching our heads!

Thanks, for any help we can get.

I suggest one possibility is it might be a lack of or worn valve seals which sit on the valves and are covered by the spring . Those valves run in a valve stem guide and seals and guides are able to wear and oil in the tappet cover and about seeps down the stem and gets burnt usually showing up as an oily burnt deposit on the valves near the valve seat.

Thread is a bit old but it might help someone further down the track
