I found me an older (year so far unknown) Mercedes 4-holer that supposedly came out of a Mercedes 3 ton truck. We dug down into 5 feet of snow and managed to copy out one single casting number 3< 3OE61 on the block (left side). There may be more but that'll be for visit #2 with more ideas about where to look. Eyeballing the size it looks like maybe 90 hp when new. Anyone with links for archived data sources to help ID this engine, I'd appreciate your suggestions. Thanks.
